mtparker97 You sir are a "STAR". Ive been trying to figure out why none of my windows worked other than from the drivers door. I suspected the lockout switch but wasnt sure. Read your post and did the jumper wire and now all windows work again. Been about 3 years. Thanks again
why thank you my friend. thats what we are here for.

Search it on Youtube. I guy shows how to fix the switch. They have broken solder joints causing the issue. If you feel comfortable taking the assembly apart and have soldering iron.

These two (larger) solder points closest to the switch, to be more precise...to continue a resurrected thread, for those looking for a proper fix.

Well, given the fact that this thread by now has had 12000+ views, let's say this is a familiar issue. But one with a fix

Just reflow the switch solder points, no clue why so many people ghetto-rig that **** with a jumper wire. I did all the contacts and not just the window lockout points, took about 5 mins. Clean the contacts on the physical switch as well, and throw some die-electric grease in for longevity.

Yep my 98' is the same way. Going to fix it now that I know how
Thanks guys
Not trying to hijack, but how about a sun roof? Previous owner said it never worked. So yesterday I started digging around and found 2 wires coming frome the sun roof, both have inline fuses, after fuses there about 6" of wire just hang'in any idea as to where they go to fuse box ( passenger side )
Really not trying to hi-jack, but seams like ( roughly ) same type of issue
Thanks guys
