Heater not blowing real hot
I have some heat but its not like it should be. I have a 190 degree thermostat in there and the temp reads 190-210. It comes out warm just not hot. The fluid is filled all the way up and its clean...Tj

Let the jeep warm up then check the heater hoses going to the firewall and make sure they are warm..Might be the heater control valve..If not I'd lean more towards the heater core itself..

Off the top of my head... Bad coolant diverter valve or a stuck/misadjusted air diverter in the dash (sticky linkage if mech; vacuum leak if vacuum). I'll hit it up again later when I fully wake up cuz I know I can cook with how hot mine it. Damn near dries my eyes into lil raisins if I have it on HI.

My vote is for the plastic heater valve under the hood. Some people have eliminated that and replaced it with some brass plumbing cut off valves. They are turned on in the fall and back off again in the spring but that keeps your defrost from getting hot if they are turned off.

Mine's not real hot either. I might look into it sometime this winter, but for now I'll just be cold. Just replaced my heater control valve a couple months ago, so I'll lean toward the heater core when the time (money) comes.

Strangely, I've discovered that the recirculation setting blows some very hot heat. I dont know what to make of it, but it works. When on any of the heater settings it's just warm. The AC haasnt worked in this Jeep since I bought it, though it probably just needs a recharge but I've neer bothered looking into it. Who knows.
