Default power window help

I just replaced my driver side window (PITA) and I just noticed that it doesn't roll up or down. It never did before because it was broken inside the door but if I'm not mistaken, in my 90 there is a silver tube that has like a chain in it that goes up and down when you press up/down on the window button and that chain should move and it is connected to the bottom of the window therefore it moves the window.

When I press the window button I hear the noise of the motor whirring but the chain doesn't move and the window won't go up or down. There is a black tube coming off of the motor that isn't hooked up to anything and I don't know where it goes.

Help? Hope I made sense I kind of rambled ha.

Its sounds like the gears in the motor might be stripped out... Or the gear teeth that connect the motor to the lift bar are not kissed up right. If you help lift or lower the window while pushing the switch does it work?

Well what's that black tube for? It's not hooked up to anything and I see something in it..haha but I don't think anything moves in it either when I press the button.

Can you get a pic of it? Did you verify that everything was put together properly?

Believe the black tube with the angle cut end (looks like a coke straw) is a drain thing.

Silver tube that has a chain/rope inside that doesn't move when I press the button.

The tube coming off the motor.

Check around some more there is a better thread with more pics. You use the cotter pins to replace the stripped gear part. Hope that gets you going.

ETA: Here it is about 1/2 way down the page:

How do I undo these screws? Am I going to need to just drill them out and find a new way to mount the thing in there? :/
