Ok when I'm out wheeling for a little bit my power steering gets really tight. It's a stock jeep with stock tires. Some people say it's my fluid getting to hot and others say it's my belt slipping. What do y'all think? had the same problem?

Ever change your power steering fluid?

How does it look and smell?

 

Looks fine to me. Good level. I have never changed it though. What viscosity is good for power steering?

Ha whoops stupid question. You can tell that I've never dealt with power steering fluid.

 

LOL. Take a good look at it.

 

What's the easiest way to drain the fluid and change it.

 

I use a turkey baster to remove as much fluid out of the reservoir as I can. Refill it. Run for a minute and do it again.
