Squeaking Belt
The belt on my '97 Grand Cherokee (8 cyl) started squeaking recently. I replaced the tensioner pulley, it did not help. After that, I noticed that my power steering pump was loose. (Bracket had came loose) It threw the belt. I replaced the bracket, bolts, and belt. It stopped squeaking for about 200 miles, is now squeaking again. I am wondering if the new tensioner pulley is mis-aligned, causing the power steering pump to wiggle loose? PLEASE HELP

Check your harmonic balancer (the big one on the crankshaft) to see if it's running true. Sometimes the rubber breaks and it wobbles.
