Power Steering Squeal & Wiring Issue??
Alright well for starters when I turn my steering wheel usually close to full turn or fully, I get this incredibly loud squeal from where I can only guess is the Power Steering Pump/Belt. Not 100% sure, Is the pump causing the belt to squeal under the pressure of turning the tires or is it the pump itself?(From slow speeds to a stop).
Second issue is that my dash lights and all the illumination on the dash and console are out. A fuse gets blown repeatedly. I removed the aftermarket deck hoping that the semi-crappy wiring might be the issue. Not sure yet. But I do have this random red wire leaving from fuse #16, it joins a large black tube of wires heading down the door trim towards the rear. Anyone know what this is? I don't have power seats or power windows. No towing cables either from what I can tell. Any help??

Is your serpentine belt tight enough? Belt in good condition? Clean? PS fluid in good shape and correct level?
I'd unplug the red wire and see what stops working. I don't know what it's for offhand.

Belt is brand new and PS fluids are good. Might need to tighten the belt im not sure how tight it should be. And ya I if I havent solved the issue with the dash lights. By removing the deck I think I'll have to unplug the wire and find out. Thanks for helping I appreciate it.

You should have about one inch of deflection per foot on your belt. I have the same wire running to the back too. Not sure what it is either, mine is ran up on top of the gas tank.

That is way too loose, it will squeal like a pig. Use a belt tension gage to remove all the guess work.

I fixed the squealing issue with a new belt and tightened it up good. I still haven't managed to fix the blowing of fuse #19. I removed that red wire and the fuse lasted a couple days before it blew again. I've tried dang near everything. Here is a pic of a green & orange wire that I believe was going into fuse #19 from what I could tell from my angle. The wire goes through the engine bay and into a contact point here on the lower front right of the jeep. right in front of the wheel well area. The contact point is a little nasty and the connector from the wire is covered in dirt. Could this be the issue? and does anyone know what it is that it goes to and if it could effect fuse #19(dash light illumination fuse). Thanks for any HELP!!!!

This is what is next to the thing that the wire plugs into that also plugs into it. Any one tell me what in the world it is??? and yes there is a coolant leak as seen in the pic.

The first pic is your horn, the second is of the vacuum ball. The vacuum ball gives a reserve of vacuum for things in your vehicle that need it, sorta like how a capacitor works in an electrical system.
Try unplugging the horn (connection in your first pic) and see if the fuse blows again. If it doesnt then it sounds like you've got a wire grounding out. If it does blow.. well still sounds like you've got something grounding out.
