Default power steering question

Hey guys, i got a 99 Cherokee 4.0. And for a little while, I've been hearing what sounds like a belt squeaking, i know the belt is fine, its only a few years old, and i checked it and its still in good condition, and it wasn't loose. It made me suspect a pulley is going out, so i pulled the belt and found that my power steering pulley does have play in it. So my question is: Is it likely the pulley itself that's bad, or does the pump itself more likely have internal shaft or bearing play, and therefore the whole pump would need to be replaced? (I know that you can't tell me for sure whats bad, unless you actually looked at it, but i'm wondering if maybe someone has had this happen on their rig before, and could give me some insight on this?) Also, if the pump does need to be replaced, I've heard that they don't come with a new pulley, and that you'd have to buy one separate, is that true? Thanks in advance!

If it's wobbling it's the pump itself. Front bushing/bearing, whichever Chrysler used is probably worn. You press the pulley off the current pump and press it on the replacement.
