I looked under the hood after my trip to Texas and I have a radial crack to the center of my power steering pulley. Doing turns has become difficult and I have stopped driving it. Can I buy and replace just the pulley or do I have to replace the whole power steering pump? How much would it cost?

I'd make a trip to the salvage yard and purchase a new ( salvaged ) pulley. I don't think the new pumps com with a pulley. Interesting yours cracked though, I can't say I've ever seen or heard of that happening.

I just replaced my power steering pump and pulley. The pulley is sold seperate and it cost me $17 at Advance Auto Parts. They can be a PITA to put on and you will probably need a pulley puller to remove your old one unless the crack made it loose. Good luck.

IIRC you don't get to chose with or without the pulley from the parts store. At least I didn't when I was looking into replacing mine.

I just replaced mine at O'reillys $13 pulley only. Do yourself a favor and get the pulley puller/installer from the loan a tool that has a FULL collar to go around the outer lip of your pulley. I tried the clamp style puller and pulled the lip off the pulley and ended up cutting the old one off.
Last weekend I got the pulley off, and replaced it with a new one for 14 bucks. I got the pulley puller for free renting it. I ended up ripping the little lip that the puller grabs onto to I just cut the dang thing off with a dremel. Replaced and works perfectly, that's for the tips.
