In need of alittle advice, I got a 89 xj 4.0 and my power steering cap seems to be shooting out all the fluid, it almost looks like a vac line hook-up on the top? Is there a check value or ect.. on these. I have never seen a set up like this, I went to my local auto parts store and all they could find for a 89 xj looks the same. So could I just put a closed cap on and call it good or is it made like that for pressure reasons?

 

I had the same problem,it was the cap,i got onr from the jy and it worked just fine,most of the xjs there they were missing,so I think it maybe common.
