Hi all
My jeep is leaking power steering fluid. I know this only because the reservoir has to be filled every so often. I've been having a mysterious smoking coming from under the hood when I steer hard which leads me to believe that the fluid is leaking onto a hot surface and burning off. Has anyone experienced this, and if so where did you start looking?

If you need to replace your high pressure line, do the low pressure side too. Don't buy the parts at the dealer as they are outrageously priced. Try rock auto and you can get away for less than 50 bucks for the pair. I think I paid around 25 or 30 last year.
Yeah do the lines first. The o-rings and threads wear out on them. Mine was doing the same thing. Squirting onto the exhaust and smoking like crazy.
Just be careful taking the line off your reservoir. The plastic nipple isn't very strong. I busted mine and turned a simple job into a PITA real quick.
