Not much to it at all... You didnt mention if the power seats you have for it are stock xj or from something else..
If stock XJ power read on...
For the motor control you just wire a positive and neg to a FUSED lead. You can take one of the spares under the dash to use for it and just buy a circuit breaker thats at least 20 amp if I remember correctly (this is how most of the manufacturers tend to protect the ectrical system when power seats are installed)....feel free to chime in here if Im wrong guys ..
You have a few otions for grounding it either where the seat bolts to the floorpan or running a wire to a good ground under the dash. I suggest the latter option if you intend on getting the inside a little wet from wheeling and if you want trouble free grounding. The rest of the control wires should be mounted in the switch housing already.
Just a heads up... On the earlier type seats the round crossmember towards the rear of the seat tends to crack where its welded to the slider. The crack tends to progress over time and the seat then has a noticable wobble and then finally its no longer safe to drive from. Another thing to look for is if anything was stuck under the seat while someone tried to move it either back or forward will strip the plastic gear inside the gear reduced motor making it difficult to move it after that..
