Power/Comfort switch trouble
I have an '87 Pioneer and I've been having trouble with the power comfort switch. I used to feel a difference between the comfort and power but now I dont. I used to leave it on power but my dad used it a couple of times and switched it off. Now it feels like it's stuck on comfort even though the switch lights up when in power mode, and I have to kinda play with the switch to get it to light up on power mode. Where does the switch run to? I was thinking maybe some kind of sensor isnt working anymore. Or if I do the jump between the two wires in the switch, how can I get the light to still turn on when switched on power mode. Thanks

Ok cool, thanks for the pic. I might just jump the switch. Whenever I have the time to "tear apart" the dash to do so. I hope that will work

Here's the fix:
Bypassing the Power/Comfort Switch on a Renix Jeep
Remove and unplug the switch. In the harness are 3 wires One has a stripe, one is tan, and the other black. Make a 4" jumper wire with a male spade at each end. Plug one end in the cavity for the tan wire and the other in the cavity for the striped wire and you'll be in permanent Power mode. Stuff the harness back in and reinstall the switch for looks.

Just jump it and make sure your 7.5 amp "trans" fuse isn't blown. Don't look back....

lol. Well, I jumped the switch harness, not much difference. I think I'll just have to do a trans service to get that kick back
