Not sure if this even has anything to do with the problems I'm having but i rear-ended someone a few weeks ago without my bumper on. It crushed in the drivers-side header panel a bit pushing the hood latch into what I believe is the jeep's computer. This thing:

It knocked the first plug loose causing the jeep to shut off and not start until the hood had been pried open and the plug wiggled back into place. So I repaired the damage and the jeep has just been sitting out in the barn since the accident. I've used the radio on the jeep while its been sitting there but all of a sudden i went to turn in on and it didn't work. I noticed that the gauges weren't moving either but the dash lights still lit up. I checked the fuses and found this one to be blown:

I stuck a new one in and it immediately blew. It was late and I wan't thinking so I plugged a 25 or 30 in and some white smoke started leaking from a hole in my passenger's side rear lower quarter panel

I quickly pulled that fuse out and after investigating, found two open ended thick white wires exposed up in the panel. I though they were some aftermarket something for a sub or something that the PO had put in so I just taped the ends off. After sticking a new 15 in the fuse panel, everything worked.
Then the other night I turned on the interior lights, and after staying on for a few seconds they turned off. I checked the panel again and sure enough that same fuse was blow.
Wondering if anyone could offer any insight into what might be going wrong here?
