Default Possibly rebuilt engine?

I just noticed some kind of paint markings on the side of my engine, Could

this mean that it has been rebuilt or replaced ? I think it says "D D D"

Did the factory engine come with markings on the side?

Thanks.

Those are factory markings that indicate the size of the pistons that are needed for that bore.
