Bwah.
Yeah ok buddy.
Your not gonna start sending me mean personal messages now are you?
U told him to use a cup, amongst other things.
Logically pictures of op's plugs would be a good idea.
No concern of yours however, it's funny.
His cel isn't even on and your telling the poor guy to pour water down the intake.
It's classic!, enough said.

If you're not familiar with what he's talking about, that's fine - but cruiser's credentials are impeccable and experience is extensive.

Short update. I tried the water in the throttle body, and it seems to have made a small difference. I get glimpses of a smooth idle in between roughness. I was using distilled water, but i'm assuming tap water would be fine. Is it possible to use too much water?

Just keep at it when you have time. It will take a little at a time to completely clean it out if its really built up.

Ive done this many times to many rigs. I have not experienced one bad thing after using water to clean the carbon out,,only positive.
Ive since upgraded to snowballs.

Brother, you're 12 posts in and you want to start picking a fight with one of the most highly respected and trusted guys on this forum - who happens to be a moderator... just not a smart move if you ask me.

quick update. Tried SeaFoam and Water directly into the throttle body and it has made the roughness worse. Any other advice?

This requires 1/2 lb. of elbow grease.
Check your firing order.
Put a plug on the end of the wire and ground it and see if it fires when running. if not, ignition problem.
Pull the injector connector and connect it to another injector and see if it clicks. Then swap them so you know the injector is good. If it dont click you have a wiring problem to the injector.
Pull the valve cover and see if a rocker came off the pushrod. I expect that would make a heck of a lot of noise though. Put pull it anyhow and observe operation of the valves when running.
Do all that and get back to me.

They needed to go rip the Jeep around a little, clearing the leftover SF out.
Go drive the Jeep,,kinda get on it a few times, get them rpms up there. Might just need to clear some crap out after SeaFoam treatment.

You could still do the leakdown test to figure out if a valve is not seating fully. Rule that out before you go swapping injectors and what not.
