I just bought a 3" rc lift and was also wondering about later adding a 2" bb.
So would i net 5" after it's all done? is there anything you would have to do differently from adding a 2" BB to a stock cherokee and adding it to an already existing 3" RC lift?
Thanks

Technically, Yes. BUT, any lift over 3" may require driveline, steering and suspension modification. Most of these are NOT part of the typical 3" lift or a BB.

Things that will be needed, adjustable control arms and trackbar, HD steering, SYE or if lucky TC Drop, brake lines, Gearing (depending on tire size), bump stops, shocks, any much more.

^ this man speaks the truth. Anything over 3" on the Cherokee requires a good deal of money; to do it right at least. I've got a 3" RC and thought about this. You pretty much HAVE to get everything he's listed above. I wouldn't bother with a TC drop kit. Do it right and get a SYE.

5" can go 32" tires, maybe 33. Might have to trim a little anyway, amounts of Bumpstops and wheel backspacing, will determine how much

32's and 33's will rub control arms with stock wheels. 3.75 bs wheels will rub the bottom corner of the front fenders while turning. have a xj in the shop with 32's and a 5" lift. trim trim trim and you can easily fit 35's!

Would it be better to have a shackle budget boost kit? It is only 20 bucks more and you don't have to break your spring pack down.

First off why lift a 2wd vehicle? and you would still need to make drive line angles not so steep.

Tell me one reason why not. Places I like to go camping, and fishing I don't need 4x4, but do need extra clearance.

My jeep is a DD and I won't lift it more than 3" anyway, but I like to learn things that I don't know which results in me asking questions especially when its free to do so.

What? do you think I should lower it, and put 22's on it? No thanks
