Timing is controlled by the ECU.

Perhaps coincidentally the fuel pump is overheating and losing pressure as it gets hot.

Could also be a CPS crapping out when warm.

Go to post 7 in my Renix Tips link below and see how to test it. Also, verify teh wire harness routing is correct per the photo in the post.

Gotta ask this also: How many of my Tips have you performed sso far?

Cruiser, we need to find a way for every owner of a Renix to have your list printed out and put in each glovebox

Somebody around here could do it. Not me. I would love to have it to share like that. What about the photos?

If you own a renix and haven't at least read through all of cruiser's tips (and done most of them), you're not owning a renix right.

Lots of guys have recommended using Ox-Gard instead of dielectric grease, especially on grounds (you can get it at Home Depot).

Default it seams it was the cps sensor , covered with oily dirt and brake fluid

i found one at dealer , nos ?

installed it , what i nightmare to install , sensor itself from top and bolts w/ tape to flex socket and 4 extensions later success ! been idleing over a hour and no problems , i also did coil cleaning as recomended by cruiser 54 and several tests and cleaning , but the sensor tested bad with AC volt test not ohm test !!

oil and dirt build up on sensor coming from bad slave cyl leak over time

thanks everybody who replied, now on to trans issue pulling clutch , lucky i have aisin ax trans and 2wd...

a very special thanks to cruiser 54 and his renix list !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
