Hey guys, I just bought this 1990 XJ a while back and when I turn it to the right or left it makes a pretty harsh popping noise and I can feel it in the steering. I'm thinking seized up U-joints? When I first got it, I thought it could have been because the tire size and it was rubbing on the Fenders, But I don't think thats it. because it happens sometimes when just barely turning.

PS. I'm looking to replace the Hub assembly's and U-joints anyways.

Sounds like u joints to me. To be sure you can get under and look and wiggle.
