Popping noise after hub replacement
I recently replaced my front hub bearing assemblies on my 97 cherokee. I now have a popping noise at full lock and occasionally while turning in the driver side hub area. This wasn't there before I replaced the hubs. I have already checked the three bolts that hold the hub on but not the center bolt. Does anyone have this problem or suggestions?

Did you replace the drive shaft U-joints? That's where those nasty pops usually come from. When you had the axle shafts out, did you inspect the U-joints for any looseness or binding?
Edit brain fart ----axle, not drive shaft u-joints.

I removed the axle to inspect the axle u-joints while the hubs were off. There was no play or binding in the u-joint. I just think its weird for this to start after I replace the hubs. Other than that noise, it feels smooth and handles good.

I'm having the same issue, though I typically only hear/feel it when I turn into a parking spot. It's coming from the driver side, and I also just replaced both hubs.

Maybe the adjuster for the max you tire can turn is not backed out enough. So when you turn max left or right its putting the u joint in a bind from turning to far?

But isn't the adjuster bolt welded in place? I put the original hub back on to see if it was the new hub. It made the same noise but its a lot quieter. Almost to the point were it is barely noticeable. So my guess is the new hub is constructed a little different to where it makes the noise louder. My guess is the axle u joints must be going soon. The LCA make a different noise.
