ok so i flushed my lines and vacuum tested them and everything appeared fine. when we started to put the freon in we got about a quarter of the can in an something popped around the compressor. is there anything that can pop and be replaced easily or do i just have to get a new compressor

Says your system is plugged.

It blew the pop-off valve on the back of the compressor - parts houses have new ones.

Until you clear the restriction, it'll keep popping.
