Default poor acceleration on 91 H.O

Recently bought a 91 xj did all the basic maintanance on her. Spark plugs, wires, cap & rotor, brown dog motor mounts, cleaned the tb, new air filter. The jeep runs good and does have get up and go but from a stop let's say your at a red light and go it takes a few good seconds before it really starts to pick up even flooring it just feels like heavy or sluggish. Not that I want to go fast I feel like it should have more acceleration. I had a 88 renix 5 spd that had the same problem one day I swapped with new injectors and the difference was night and day. I'm thinking I should go with some bosch 4 hole fuel injectors hopefully that gives me better acceleration. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Compression test, what's the fuel pressure in psi?
Is it a beater?

Haven't done one what should it read I'll rent a gauge tomorrow. Can you check the psi from the fuel rail? The jeep is not a beater it's stock unmolested has about 150k original miles but the po must've maintained it poorly. Spark plugs were burnt bad and other things were clearly neglected in the past but it didn't have signs of offroad use and abuse just commuting around the po was an older gentleman as well didn't look the type to beat on his car. Also the jeep idles fine and like I said I can take it on the freeway and do 90 on no time just from a stop it's a turtle reminds me of an old Chevy with a 350 when it's initially accelerating.
