Default PLZ HELP! no start...starter to battery wiring...

Ok. I have had this issue for less then a week. was cranking slow then stopped cranking. I have a new battery now as well. been reading a lot of things and trying to figure it out. I just tried a splice kit just to remove the top positive battery post that had some corrosion thinking that may be the issue. I replaced it yesterday and seemed to work great right away. Now last night it seemed to be cranking a little slower again and by this morning no crank at all. Yesterday before i did the splice i cleaned off both of the connections to the starter. I have cleaned the ground from the battery to the engine block and even before I did the splice I could find voltage with a multimeter at the connections at the starter. although it didn't seem real good for the starter wire but the solenoid wire seemed good whenever it was cranked.
Could the neutral safety switch close slow cranks or does it just work or not work? I am just worried it's an expensive fix. About to go the auto store and just change the whole positive wire and the one to the pdc. Please help as I have already lost 2 days of work at my first shift job...luckily am able to make it to the second shift one... lol.
thank you in advance,
Lee

Test the battery with a multimeter first make sure its not dead. you could have a hot wire somewhere draining power. What kind of cranking amps is your new battery? If you are getting power to the starter no real need to replace the wires. You could bypass the saftey switch. Have you tried starting it in neutral?

battery definitely not dead. Ok, just changed out the wire to the PDC and the positive wire to the starter. I get over 12v to the starter and when it is cranked i get 12v for a second or so then about 11.5v at the starter solenoid....
update: talked to my uncle he said to try tapping it with a hammer while someone is cranking the engine(duh!!can't believe i forgot that trick). It started. So seems like brushes are sticking time to turn this one in for another one. thank god for lifetime warranty. Barely lasted 3 years...
Thanks everyone I guess at least I got brand new thicker wires now...

edit: don't trust autozone when they say the starter is good because it passed their "bench test"

Without a load tester a multi-tester will work in a pinch.
Put the multi-tester on the battery and read the voltage when cranking it over.
Now touch it to the starter on the large wire there and crank it over and
measure the voltage there, should be nearly the same.
This will tell you that the wires to the starter is fine.
Most likely you've got a starter dragging just pulling down to much to crank it.
