Is there a way to mount a plow on a XJ?

Yes, I am sure you can search it. My jeep has the hookup for a plow from my dad, and I know it worked well.

Get the lightest plow you can find AND you will still be replacing EVERYTHING in the front end. Buy a beater with a plow already mounted and save your daily driver from the pain and agony of pushing snow! So many plow rigs out there. XJ's are dwindling, especially after Cash-for-clunkers took a bunch away from us. Save the species. Keep 'er in a warm garage all winter with a trickle charger.

I'd go Meyers, imo.

I have the Meyer's TM-6.5 on my '96. I've plowed with it for a few seasons and it works great! Can't push as much as say a 3/4 ton pickup but is much more maneuverable. Just have to catch it before it gets to deep.

Here's what I plan for next winter. No wear and tear from the weight on the front end. Before any one bash's this, its only for MY DRIVEWAY, not commercial use.

Thats a pretty neat set up for home owners but ouch $2,545 for the cheapest 7ft model. Probably cheaper than a real plow but I hope you have a mile long driveway or it will take a while for that thing to pay for itself imo.

$250 to Sears for a 4' plow for my garden tractor and another $50 for chains and wheel weights. Worked great on my 100 yd driveway this last storm, It took about 15 minutes to completely clear. Snow coming up over the blade and didn't even slow down. The XJ is safe in her garage.

HA! During "Snowmageddon" last year The neighbor kids sat and watched two ol' farts (My neighbor and me) shovel their way towards coronaries. If MY dad had seen me do that when I was a kid my life would have been over.
That's when I bought my plow and guess which neighbors didn't get plowed out the next storm! LOL

I suppose your right, after all you seen a video. My brother in-law has only had his 2 yrs and just cleaned his driveway of the 22" they got in Minneapolis that collapsed the Metrodome. I'm sure that snow wasn't as heavy as New England's though Especially up here 200 miles North of Minneapolis, our snow is prob even lighter!
