Default Please help. Upper radiator hose piece broke.

Can anyone tell me what this part is. It's attached to my upper radiator hose on the opposite end from the tstat housing.

it broke where the house is supposed to connect and I'm spewing fluid everywhere.

Thanks for any advice.
if I can't replace the part, is there an easy jimmy rig to fix it?

That's the heater control valve.
Just remove that mess and replace the 2 heater hoses, if memory serves I just used 3/4" for both.

5/8s and 3/4 and plug the vacuum line to it.

Just get a set of hoses for a 97 XJ with a 4.0.
