Default O2 Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1

I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Engine light blinks off and on. Po135 code. Check fuses they are good. Next, I want to change the O2 H C Bank 1 Sensor 1. But not sure where its located. I looked under my car on the driver side and I see 2 sensors.

2001 models have 4 O2 sensors. Two are on the top of the mini-cats and two are on the bottom of the mini-cats. 1/1 is on the top, towards the radiator.

BTW, It is often said that NTK O2 sensors work better than Bosch in our Jeeps. The table Ken posted lists the part numbers for the preferred NTK O2 sensors.

So the Ntk sensors work better than the Bosch sensors? I just put the Bosch sensor in today. I looked on amazon and it said the NTK does not fit in the 2001 jeep cherokee.

Can you get your money back on the Bosch sensors? Probably not.

Leave the Bosch sensors in and run them to destruction then install ALL NTK sensors as a set.

Rockauto has the NTK's fairly cheap, but you do have to pay shipping. Check the pricing at your local auto parts stores and factor in your State sales tax. Look for coupon discounts at the local stores.

I just installed the one Bosch O2 sensor 1/1 because I got PO135 code. So you saying replace all 4 with NTK sensors. When the 1/1 Bosch sensor runs out?

I didn't realize you just changed 1/1. Go ahead and replace it with an NTK.

how did you get to it? I'm trying to replace all 4 but can only get to the downstream sensors. I'm no mechanic but I feel like I should be able to do this kind of stuff. Just struggling to replace the upstream ones.

I went at it from the top using an O2 sensor socket from NAPA for about $5.

It's not the greatest, but it gets the job done.

Here is one from Advance that costs twice as much:
