Default Please help me!

Went out mudding yesterday and after much under water driving and beating on the jeep, I wake up in the morning and notice under my driver side knuckle a lot of oil on the ground. I am new to the scene and would like to see what it could be.

Now is this a simple fix? And any upgraded I should do since I'll be working on the front end?

Shouldn't be too hard, but I honestly wouldn't know. I do know a nice upgrade would be chromoly shafts...but that's depending on your budget.

I'm doing the same thing on mine. And adding those Alloy seals.
With a Dana 30 you have to pull the carrier out and push in the seals from the opposite side. Several write-ups available. It should be just a few hour job with two people. Waiting on my seals in the mail and will do a YouTube install/write -up.

Did you just jam the axel back in there or did you do it carefully? Cause its not hard to screw up th seal.

I had a mechanic do it at a shop. He said the seals went in fairly easy. Is it possible the housing gets messed up?

I would immediately take it back. They are easy to mess up, and must be installed PERFECTLY. He could have over filled the differential too - if the seals are submerged in oil they will leak.

I "ovaled" my Ranger 7.5" in an accident, And it never quit leaking. Would have had to replace the housing.

Do those work with factory shafts? I was under the impression they are only compatible with larger chromolys

If so, I definitely want some.

Yeah. There are diff sizes. I got them from partsgeek.com I think. You have to read the fine print to know which ones are the right ones. The were like $60
