Default Please Help--- Engine problems

To start off it is an 01 sport with the 4.0. After i have been driving or when the engine is still hot and i start the jeep the engine starts knocking and whole jeep shakes. It eventually stops and giving it gas helps stop the knocking/shaking also. It starts and fires up just fine when the engine is not hot or after it has cooled down awhile. Anyone have any ideas??

Sounds like it is a fuel issue. The shaking is the jeep trying to stay running.

Coil packs may be shorting when hot. Do you get any codes? Another place to check since it smooths out with giving it some gas, might be the intake is just carbon-ed up. Seafoam may help. Use plenty of ventilation.
