Exclamation Please help!!!!!! clutch issue on cherokee

I have a 1993 jeep cherokee with 154,000 miles on it and I am suddenly haveing clutch issues. Yes it is a manuel 5 speed ax15. I push in the clutch and will be in first gear and sit there while clutch in and it will grab on the floor????????? was wondering if this is the slave cylinder ot my clutch master cylinder?????? Clutch pushes down with great pressure but the grab point changes . The jeep does not grab on the floor normally and it's only If I sit there for a few seconds in any gear. It is like something is not holding clutch engaged allowing it to grab on the floor.... Thank you Zach

sounds like you've been stepping on the clutch a little too hard, or letting it too long.... you might gonna have to replace it....

sorry to tell you the bad news...

I would try to bleed out the clutch before replacing anything.
Then you need to be looking for leaking fluid coming out of the slave cylinder.
if you can't find a leak I would replace the master cylinder before the slave. Just because I don;t have to pull the tranny to do it.

Thanks man .... Yeah I have blead it and I do not have a leak from anywhere so something is just faulty... yeah I guess I should do that first I already have the clutch master cylinder off . It 40$ for new..... Just do not want to spend more than I have too but I can take it back if it's not bad..........

I hope it is not my slave because I really do not feel like pulling the transmission lol

sounds like an internal failure on the clutch. probably is pitted and still works, but doesn't like the pressure and is flowing fluid past the piston inside the master when it's under pressure too long.

how's the fluid level?
