Default Pinion Hitting Carrier

i decided to take the cover off to see exactly what the problem with it was and i see that the pinion is rubbing on the carrier. there are some marks on the carrier and the tips of the pinion are chipped. could this be a loose pinion nut? and if it is you think i can just tighten it to specs and run it the way it is? seeing how i would have to change ring and pinion anyways should i just run it till it blows?it doesnt seem like the pinion is damaged enough not to work properly. sorry took some pics with my phone then i dropped it in a puddle in middle of a downpour.

with out pics its hard to give a helping answer if the nut is loose and the bearings still good tighten up and see what happens ,or pull it apart and fix it with new ring and pinion and bearings then you no your not going to break more when it explodes

actually i stuck that staple in the cross pin because the roll pin was busted. just stuck it in there so i could move the carrier for a better look.

Yea I was in your same boat. I had just little chips in the side of mine. You have to replace ALL of it. If it's a d35 like mine, you should just buy a JY axle
