Ok so about a week before moving out of the house the front driveshaft decided to go. Pulled it out and drove away with it in the back seat. Looking at it I can see and hear that the little cup or whatever is cracked in the double cardan joint and I can hear noise in it which im sure is the noise I heard just amplified while driving. And yes it was the driveshaft cause the noise went away. And the ujoint are fine. So am I better off getting a whole new shaft or doing a rebuild. Both pose problems because being in college, I am broke and I dont have the space for a rebuild unless I did it in my dorm. I'm having trouble even locating a rebuild and everything for a new shaft was really expensive, like 400+. Id say i would go get a junkyard one but not only do I not want to do that, there isnt one with in reasonable driving distance. So what should I do? anybody have one they could ship? thanks

I have a rear DS, but no front. Not sure if you'd ever need an SYE, but IRO sells their hack-and-tap SYE w/ a refurbished front driveshaft for $199. And i'm pretty sure they're offering free shipping right now.

you could drive around with no front driveshaft until you save up and have time to get a new one
