Default Pictures worth a thousand words.

When I was driving to work this morning I started hearing a loud grinding noise coming from the rear. I also notice a sluggish loss of power feeling whenever I would step on the gas. Fortunately I only had a couple of blocks to go to make it to work. I got out and looked under the thing and to my surprise found that one of the brackets that mounts to the rear axle had come loose. I've attached two pictures. Can anyone tell me what happened and if this is costly to fix?

are you talking about the shocks mounting to the axle? That looks right, the shock is on the opposite side on the passenger side. drive side shock is on outside, passenger side shock is on inside. shocks on or off wont affect power..

maybe its the weight of the ebrake cable hanging pulling the brake on thats causing the noise

Is it just me? Or does the right tire look like it's leaning out?
