I don't think so, although anything is possible.

Mopar stats(for XJ) are manufactured in Mexico and are stamped as such.

Do the Stant and others have the bleed valve built in? No.

Go to Stant.com and read how they (Stant) make OE stats right down to the "jiggle valve". They also make some stats with a "bleed notch"....that "bleeds" air constantly, motor running or not, stat open or not. The Mopar design only bleeds air when the motor is off or when stat is open. Lots of US companies have facilities that "hecho en Mexico".
