Default Pics of new paint job

After a week of waiting for the phone to ring - I got the Jeep back from the body shop last Friday and today is its first time back on the road. I need to give the paint a few more days to cure then I'll start re-attaching all of the trim and new badges.

The top half was painted back to the factory code for 1991 Sport silver while the bottom was treated with a rock guard (bedliner) material. For consistency, I had the bumpers done with the rock guard as well.

After 200K miles - all of the exterior trim is faded and in need of being re-painted as well. The shop gave me a can of the same stuff they used on the mirrors and grill so it should all look the same. As long as it does not rain this weekend, I’ll re-paint the trim and roof rack.

I'm also getting ready to order a new custom front bumper - but that won't be added for another month or so.

Here's how it looked when I bought it:

And here's how it looks today:

Next big step is to finish the headliner and interior.

I'll post some new pix when everything has been re-installed and cleaned up.

I think you should leave the ext trim off it looks sharp how it is. Just trim the extra stuff off and get some wider tires. looks great

Looks real good. You use bed liner on the out side?

The only thing, trim wize, I would reinstall is the roof rails. They are quite helpful. JMHO

I've noticed in the past two days that my roof is much more flexible now and wobbles a lot more when I shut the door.

I figured it was the roof rails so they'll be going back on for sure.

Yeah I think they act as stiffeners. They might make a big difference. Let us know!

Looks Great!!! that something i would love to do to my jeep once the paint goes bad, but with the shape my paint is in now i don't think ill find any reason to push myself to put money toward that. I also think your jeep looks sleek with out the badging. Great Job!!!
