Picked up my 2nd xj
Well i am getting back into the Jeep world again. 3 years ago i owned a 96 sport. just had a little 3" lift with 31's and other little things then i sold her... anyways... i just picked up a 1990 Cherokee Laredo yesterday for $350. body is in good shape, interior needs to be cleaned but other than that it is in good shape, needs new tires and some misc. parts here and there... well the biggest problem is the motor.
The guy i got it from told me that the 4.0 that was in it threw a rod so he put in a 4.2 carbs motor from a wrangle. the motor is stabbed in the bay and to the tranny. i am not sure what type of tranny or t-case it has all i know is that it is the original tranny and is 4x4.
well my question is how hard will it be to get it running with it being a carb'd motor? also, he didnt install the t-case bolts so do i have to remove the motor/tranny to install these? he has all the bolts and hard ware and still some parts left if i wanna take it back to EFI.
