I thought I did specify. On Rusty's site it has a Tie Rod Conversion Kit and a knuckle over kit. I was simply interested in whether or not someone here has installed one and if they had a pic to share. I also googled it and have come up empty.

As far as "why to change?" Because I want to. It's time to change out my tie rods and steering stabilizer and thought I would do the rusty's conversion kit. it's beefier too.

So anybody have it installed and have pics?

it keeps your steering "stabilized" it helps prevent from death wobble and things of that nature

no, i know better than to run his steering.

friend of mine was in traffic and went to turn into a parking lot, snap. welds on a tie rod failed (lack of penetration) (same steering the op is asking about)

friend of mine was just entering a trail, hit a "dip" not even a rock. snap. tie rod end broke much like in the above pics.

then you hear of the numerous failures on speedbumps and menial obstacles offroad from people on the forums.

he uses the cheapest stock sized tie rod ends for his parts. stock sized chinese parts are not "trail tested tough" like his website says. at least in my opinion.

I know darn well what he did to bend that HD Trackbar like that. He jumped his XJ, didn't have the proper extended bump stops for the 6+ inch lift that is required to run that TB set up and bottomed the suspension out when he hit.

unless your runnning some big lift or big tires or both.... there really is no need to buy either upgrade kit...
the rig i'm buying the tie-rod conversion for has 8.5" lift and runs 33's daily and 35's on trail...

and thats a pricey "just because" upgrade

yeah, i dont agree with that. once you start getting above 5" of lift, the stock steering sucks. i would not run Rustys for personal reasons. take a look at the JCR kit, very beefy.
