Default Petcock!!!!! Help please!!!!!!

The seal won't seal on my radiator petcock. How do I get the dang thing out to fix the seal?!?!?!

Just a thought...wonder if you couldn't fit a length of (clear vinyl) tube to it, open it, and blow the krud that's keeping it from sealing back in to the radiator.
Maybe not...just a thought.

When you get this resolved, NEVER use the petcock again.

They are generally under-designed and when they fail, it's a royal PITA as you can see.

For draining coolant, simply loosen the clamp on the lower radiator hose and "carefully" wiggle it off. Have a big pan ready for the rush of coolant that will come out.

Thanks. Got it sealed up by jerry riggin it with a crap load of silicone. Worst case scenario I replace the radiator 3-5 years down the road.
