so, i got a 91 xj, and i bought it knowing it has been used and badly abused. when i bought it they PO was using a jumper wire in the PDC, from the 15a mini fuse for the ignition, to another fuse nearby in order for it to run. i have been able to get it to start and run intermittently. within a few minutes of start up the car dies and i lose power to my radio, windows, cluster, cig lighter, heater panel, and multifunction switch. after everything dies, it must sit for a few minutes then it will start back up. i also noticed that if you turn on any of the accessories i listed above, the motor immediately shuts off, and no power again. i was thinking ignition switch, since sometimes it will power on, sometimes not. the part was 11 bucks, so i dont feel bad about replacing it.

Anybody got any ideas on what could be causing this problem?
