Part time light on

Default Part time light on

Noticed today driving down the highway my part time light came on when i got to ab 55mph. The 4x4 works but is not activated. I havent crawled under there yet to poke around. The part time light is usualy on in normal driving but lately it has been shutting off. Anyone have a thought before i dig in?

Sounds like a wiring short to me. The sensor is on the front of the transfer case, I imagine the wires fell down and were chewed up by the front drive shaft. Or maybe a rodent masquerading as a drive shaft...
