Default part time dash light

used the 4wd to climb a hill by my house

i shifted it into full time 4wd..

climbed the hill

at the top i stopped, put it in 2wd again, then backed up to make sure it was disengaged

anyway drove home without the light on, washed my jeep and backing it out of the barn, the part time light is on

i pushed the lever all the way forward and it stayed on

what do i do to get it off?

Should be a 2 pin connector. On NP231. On NP 242 I am not sure what the later years used but the used to be 2 pin as well. Only time I have seen a 4 pin is on the early JEEPs with vacuum
Disconnect. Which a 2000 does not have.

I have a 1998 - same issue - so you just lubricated the contacts at the sensor-plug, right ? -- Thanks !
