Default Parking Brake light on ETC

So story goes like this.. Replaced my transfer case this weekend after I managed to snap my old one in half. Since switching it, I've noticed that my brakes take a little more pressure to engage. Basically, I press the brakes in and at first I get no resistance and then they engage like 1/4 into depressing the brakes. The Parking brake light is also permanently on. Talked to a buddy, he said try bleeding the brake lines and check the master cylinder, might be going faulty. Any ideas?

i agree with your buddy. do the inside of your rear tires ever get oil on them? or are your brake drums all greasy?
