Default Parking brake Cherokee 98(question)

i just got a 98 cherokee(christmas present)
the only problem is that the parking brake is not working..
can someone give me drawings or pictures of the parking brake system on the cherokee

Will the handle pull up? If so, you probably need to adjust your rear brakes themselves. That's what I had to do.

three posible faults broken cable, unadjujsted cables ,brakes out of adjustment i would check in this order

i have this issue but my cables are very loose so they slip out of that bracket thing under the XJ, what could my issue be and how do i go about fixing it

you need to adjust the cables here loosen the two nut and tighten the the nut on the breacket then tighten the nut back together

yea thats the bracket my cables fall out of, so if i tighten that it should fix my ebrake
