Painting a headlight bezel
Im replacing a lost headlight bezel, i am going to order it in black and just paint it to match the body. Whats the best way to go about doing this? I found an exact match car spray paint online but what type of prep or clear cloating do i need if any?
Heres the paint i will use

get a scotch brite pad and rough it up a little. If you don't the paint won't have much to stick to and peel off pretty quickly. After using the pad, use some wet sand paper and smooth it down. Apply your first coat and let it fully dry (about 1 hour). Apply a 2nd coat and let it fully dry. Then do a clearcoat. Let that fully dry (2 hours). If it doesn't look "milky" then you're good to go. If it does, do VERY light wet sand on it and another clear coat. it's time consuming to do it right, but it'll last and look A LOT better.
