Painting Header Panel ???

Has anyone painted a Header Panel ? I was looking for a used silver one but , all the ones I found were damaged . Ended up getting a green one . Now looking to refinish it. Planning on sanding it with 400-600 grit wet/dry then go to auto paint shop and get 1/2 pt

Did you know that auto paint stores can mix up your paint and put it in aerosol cans?

Looking at what I am guessing is your zip code. Gary's in Waterbury. Thinking one can will do the job. Run $15 I think. Paint code should be on the white sticker on the drivers door.
