Alot of people think its armor. I scratched it up in the woods. The liner is eay to fix. The Duplicolor is like 9 bucks a can. 3 cans should be plenty. I think it would look hot on the black

So, where did you get the panels for this Jeep?. I have a 1992 Jeep Cherokee that needs new panels on the bottom due to rust spots in front of and behind the rear wheel.

Covering up the rust would not be the way to go unless you plan on junking it soon ... in which case, why spend the money? I have quarter panel guards on my XJ and I got them from a company called Total Fabrications Solutions. Click on Products. These cost less & are larger than the ones pictured above, they extend to just under the window, but no light box. You have to be careful about getting those boxes. Some states require side markers and if you look at the tail lights, they are not equipped with side markers. I guess if you have the tools to cut a hole in steel, you can do that, but if I'm spending the cash all I'd want to do is paint, wire & install, not modify.
But that's just me.

Mine before I painted the rivets & replaced the flare:
