I want to do a coat with bed liner over my paint. My dad painted it to suprise me but didn't sand before so but I didn't wanna say anything Cus he was happy to be helping out. But if I wanted to paint iit with olive drab bed liner would I have to sand? And should I spray it or roll it on there and more then one coat? Please help thank you

I say you olive drab plsti dip it and see if that matte finish doesn't grow on you, plus its not permanent, bed liner is forever and doesn't react well to mud and other stains.

Came across that plasti dip stuff the other day. Since it's not permanent and you can choose from several coatings, it might be an idea to look into that. Can always take it off by the looks of it.

plenty youtubes on the stuff. No, it wont come off by itself, you'd have to peel it off....like a rubber coating.

You can get it in spray cans or you can get it by the gallon and use a normal house paint sprayer to spray it.dipyourcar.com sells it by the gallon in any color. When you spray it the more coats the better most do 4 to 6 coats if you do less its harder to remove later on and will not look as even.As far as it coming off its like a vinyl sticker it won't come off tell you want it to.Youtube has videos of people washing their cars plastidiped with a pressure washer and normal car washes and the plastidip stayed on no problem.

I bought a gallon of OD green smooth from Durabak. So far I have only done the top of the XJ but, it has held up good and is easy to roll on or brush. I hope to get the rest of the rig done here soon before the cold months roll in! They told me to use a mohair roller to get the best smooth finish and then brush the hard to roll areas. I just brushed it on the top and plan to brush the rest.

Check out Durabaks site and have a look...

Looking at doing this to a jeep I'm gonna grab for 900$ it's pretty rust free like 90% it's a 91 so I wanna hide all the chrome ect and sand/bondo minimal rust areas to prevent more... The floor pans are perfect so I'll prolly undercoat most of it to how much did you use and smooth or textured ?
