P1698 code. PCM swap
Hey Y'all,
I have a 96, 6 cylinder, automatic, 4x4 that I bought as a non runner. I determined that it needed a PCM. I found a PCM from a 97 that was also a 6 cylinder, automatic, 4x4. The Jeep now runs and drives however, there is a Code P1698 NO CCD which causes the check engine light to stay on.
Is this due to a different year model PCM being installed? I read that 96, 97 and 98 PCM were plug and play. Not true?
