P1694.
I need some help- 99 XJ 4.0, runs perfect! No CEL, shifts normal, runs normal. Checked for codes and found P1694. I have checked and cleaned all connections, it has i. The last 6 months a new CPS, new fuel pump, new alternator, new TPS, new coil and plugs wires etc. It runs perfect! I just don’t want to go riding on trails and it quit on me. I have done everything I know possible. Ant suggestions? Oh to have a DRB3....

I’ve cleared it several times but it always comes back and never sets a CEL. You’d never no there was an issue without scanning for a code. It set CEL at first and I replaced the battery, cleaned battery cables and checked grounds. It comes back with no CEL now, this is what’s so boggling.
