Default P0700 fault code please help!!!!

my jeep is shifting very badly and the scanner has the general P0700 reading a fault trans code....i have no idea what could be wrong in the trans...this happened out of the blue while driving. i have changed the map sensor and the TPS sensor with no good results. the check engine light is on and even after i clear the codes without even turning over the engine the code comes right back...PLEASE HELP!!!!

P0700 is a code that is stored in the PCM when a transmission code is present.

you will have the AW4 transmission and it has a separate TCM and you will need to access the TCM with another scan tool to see if it can read the codes. Can you run your Jeep to an Autozone and have them scan the TCM to see if they can communicate and pull the codes?

TCM will have the actual codes and tell you whats going on with the trans.

i went to autozone and they scanned it and said there was a false code for the Throttle position sensor which i just changed earlier today...they didnt say anything about the trans now....this just doesnt make sense i reset the light and it came right back on it seemed to drive and idle just fine when i went there though

So you cleared the codes and now it comes back on saying there's a issue with the cps? How did all the wires look going to the cps?
