Default p0123 & p0122 TPS CODES

so its been about 2 weeks since i got my cherokee and ive done so much stuff to it but i keep finding more n more stuff that has to be done, when i first got the car i took it to autozone to get the check engine light checked out , had a p0123 code and the guy told me i problably needed a new throttle position sensor so i went and got one , changed it and figured it was good now, today i got a code scanner and checked the codes and the same code was still there( i had disconected the battery for a couple of min and the check engine light was gone for a few days, any ideas what could be wrong? ive read around and saw some post where it says it needed to be adjusted, do i have to do this? or is that for older models?

by the way i've learned so much from this site and have fixed other stuff myself thanks to the forum, i have saved alot of $$

The codes indicate a problem with the TPS circuit, which includes more than the sensor. It includes the wiring and connectors for starters. A careful inspection of that is in order.

The TPS sensor on 91-01 is not adjustable. Because of horrible personal luck with aftermarket engine management sensors, and because I answer multiple threads every week about problems with them, I buy them exclusively from Jeep and recommend you do the same.
