so i am in the final stages of replacing water pump, t-stat and P/S pump and have the cooling system finished. now i am trying to finish the power steering and once i start up it immediately begins a whine. not sure where to go from here as i have not personally done a Pump before and im just not sure if its air in the system or what is going on. any insight would be helpful as i want to try and get this done tonight. thanks guys!!

Mine use to whine bad. I sucked the fluid out and dumped this in and noise went completely away withing a half mile down the road and has not come back in 3 years.

It probably still has air in the system. You can work the steering wheel back and forth while just sitting still. The air will usually work it's way out in a while.

Then check your hot fluid level and fill to the mark.

Are you using power steering fluid? Or ATF?
